Personal data processed

The following personal information is fetched from the Identity Provider server of your home organisation each time you log in to the service, if your home organization provides it:

  • name
  • email address
  • affiliation
  • unique ID to identify the user

Log files are created at various levels which include:

  • timestamps
  • IP address
  • affiliation
  • actions performed
Purpose of the processing of personal data

Personal data and log files are used by the services for:

  • user authorization
  • working out technical problems and investigating abuse of the services
  • statistics and development of the services
Third parties to whom personal data is disclosed

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties. Anonymized IP addresses are included in service usage statistics which can be viewed only by CLARIN administrative and technical staff, and can not be traced back to individuals.

How to access, rectify and delete the personal data

No personal data is directly stored. Use the technical contact above for any requests. To rectify the data released by your Home Organisation (Identity Provider), contact your Home Organisation's IT helpdesk.

Data retention
  • Personal data and information are not stored for longer than three months in log files.
  • Information that is stored long-term is anonymized and can not be traced back to individuals.
  • Files uploaded for processing and any intermediate processing results are deleted when the user's session ends, typically a few minutes after the browser tab is closed.

Your personal data will be protected according to the Code of Conduct for Service Providers, a common standard for the research and higher education sector to protect your privacy.
